“One flew over Kosovo theatre” is a collection of select dramas by Albanian authors from Kosovo, created from the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia to the Kosovo declaration of independence in 2008. During this period, the long road to independence has been traversed, from civil boycott to armed resistance under the intensely oppressive regime Slobodan Milošević, followed by use of diplomatic tactics.

What does the struggle for independence mean for drama in Kosovo? This anthology offers critical insight into the phenomenon of national liberation and its social context. Five young artists offer society a lesson about the pillars upon which it stands.
