Bekim Fehmiu Film Week in Kosovo 2016 – Film tour of “I Even Met Happy Gypsies”

The third edition of the festival “Mirëdita, dobar dan!” is coming with film tour of “I Even Met Happy Gypsies” as part of the Bekim Fehmiu Film Week in Kosovo 2016. This film, awarded with the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 1967 and as one of the most famous films of actor Bekim Fehmiu, will be screened this time in five different cities of Kosovo.

 
The tour of the film “I Even Met Happy Gypsies” within the Bekim Fehmiu Film Week in Kosovo 2016 will be held from 06 to 10 December 2016 and will start in the city of Kamenica on December the 6th in Cultural Centre “Isa Kastrati “, on December 7th in Peja in cinema “Jusuf Gërvalla”, on December 8th in Mitrovica in Cultural Centre “Rexhep Mitrovica”, on December 9th in Ferizaj in Theatre “Adriana Abdullah” and on December 10th in Gjakova in “National Theatre”. The screening time in all five cities will be at 7 p.m.

 
Entrance to all screenings of the film will be free. Tickets are available in the cities where the film will take place, at the cultural institutions that are part of this organization. Festival “Mirëdita, dobar dan!” is a unique initiative that contributes to initiates dialogue and cultural exchange between Kosovo and Serbia, with the aim of improvement of social, political and cultural relationships between societies. Bekim Fehmiu, Albanian, Kosovo, Belgrade, Yugoslav and world actor – a symbol of joint past, together with all of its challenges, achievements and misunderstandings, served as inspiration for establishment and realization of this event. We wish these encounters to become a tradition and continually contribute to establishment of permanent peace and normalization of relationships between Kosovo and Serbia.

 
The project “Mirëdita, dobar dan!” is implemented by Integra in partnership with Kosovo Foundation for Open Society, Civic Initiatives and Policy Center. The Bekim Fehmiu Film Week in Kosovo 2016 is organized in cooperation with the Cultural Center in Kamenica, Anibar in Peja, Cultural Centre in Mitrovica, Theater “Adriana Abdullahu” in Ferizaj and the City Theatre in Gjakova.
