This year’s Festival “Mirëdita, Dobar dan!” will be held from May 30 to June 2, 2018. This unique event has been presenting Kosovo’s cultural and social scene to the Belgrade audience since 2014. By introducing the audience with artists and performers, who are representatives of the modern Kosovo cultural scene, the festival is aiming to initiate changes in Serbia’s and Kosovo’s social and cultural communities. Festival seeks to establish the tradition of cooperation through arts,which will contribute to the permanent normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.Similar to years before, visitors will have an opportunity to learn and to find out more about Kosovo’s cultural scene via performances,movies, concerts and exhibitions. Additionally part of the festival will be dedicated to talks and debates on the future relations between Serbia and Kosovo and the importance of cooperation and network among two societies.

The festival “Mirëdita, Dobar dan!” 2018 will officially be opened on May 30th with the screening of the movie “Martesa” (Marriage) directed by Blerta Zeqiri, which won the Critics’ and Special Jury prizes at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. On this day in Center for Cultural Decontamination the Exhibition of cartoonists from Pristina and Belgrade (project: The Bridge, Pristina-Belgrade Civil Dialogue) will be presented to the Festival visitors. During the four days of the festival audience will have the pleasure to enjoy a part of Albanian culture through music on a life performance of five talented women artists of Ensemble “Zánat”.
Eliza Hoxha’s works in photography and installation titled “Between Dream and Reality”, will be presented for visual and contemporary art lovers. While, theatre play “Cope-Cope” (Bits and Pieces) directed by Zana Hoxha Krasniqi, illustrates an insight look into the processing of memories and the transformation of pain. This year, the debate will focus in exploring the relationship between Serbia and Kosovo under the title of “Kosovo-Serbia: What are we to each other?”

Festival “Mirëdita, Dobar dan!” 2018 will take place in several places around Belgrade, and the entrance to all events will be, like in the previous years, free. For more information about the time, place and events, please follow the website and FB page.

Bekim Fehmiu, Albanian, Kosovo, Belgrade, Yugoslav and a world actor represents a symbol of joint past, with all of its challenges, achievements and misunderstandings, is an inspiration for the establishment and realization of the festival.
