Partners hold Consortium Meeting in Priština

On August 7, 2024, the partner consortium of project — “Mirrors Into Windows: Working for Peace with Arts” supported by the European Commission’s flagship programme to support the audiovisual sectors and culture –  “Creative Europe”  met in Prishtina to discuss project developments. The partners addressed the consequences of the ban on the “Miredita, dobar dan!” festival by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia and its implications for related activities. Representatives from Integra NGO (Kosovo), Youth Initiative for Human Rights (Serbia), Civic Initiatives (Serbia), and HREYN (Brussels) discussed the severity of the ban and its implications not only for the festival and the related activities within the project, but also for its broader societal impact. It was emphasized that the ban significantly affects efforts and developments in peace-building and the promotion of societal cohesion, highlighting the need for increased advocacy and awareness regarding the prohibitions on cultural cooperation between Kosovo and Serbia at an international level.
